There is a new drug being added to the PBS on the 1-8-2010 for treatment of Diabetes 2 which has no or very minor side effects.
The drug "Galvus" acts differently to current available medications and does not increase the weight of patients.

Interesting GF! Wonder what my Dr will do? Change my meds or leave me as is. Shall have to ask, won't I?

Dawny, mate, if you have a weight problem I would ask him to change you to the new ones.
Couldn't find anything about contra-indications with Warfarin, which would have to be a consideration for you.
