Bucko: Read this, as what you are enquiring about is basically the same as glucosamine + supplements.
Best to do what the Doc. recommends if he say keyhole surgery, have it done.

Glucosamine and chondroitin have been shown to have no beneficial effect compared to a placebo.

Bucko: See if a cortisone injection will give you some relief. I have the rotary cup in my right shoulder stuffed up
and I get an Injection when it gets to painful to move my arm. About every 6 to 9 months.

Get yourself off to a specialist Buck, and get something done with it. I have been pain-free for more than 10 years with two steel hips. Prior to the operations I had to use a walking stick to get around.

Has anyone investigated Boswellia (Frankincense) for arthritis? I'd be interested to hear opinions.

There are a few clinical trials with a small cohort of patients (max I've seen is 68), but they indicate some effectiveness. As my wife has osteoarthritis, I would like to see more results before buying any tablets. and I would need proof the tablets contain what they claim, given the poor quality control of most herbal medicine production.
