Connecting the NBN.

Post by Trishia » 19 Aug 2017, 09:02

I am angry!
I am expected to do the work of a technician, when Optus connects us to the NBN. I did NOT want the NBN on in the first place, but was told that I didn't have a choice.
I have been sent a KIT, and am supposed to connect everything after their tech. connects us to the NBN outside and inside. Then I have to connect the modem to everything, and also the phone.
Shouldn't they do that too?????? :flaming_mad

Telstra did everything for me Trishia and very efficiently too.

I don't think everyone has had the same experience as me though.

Thank you Lynny,
I should have said that the technician from Optus is not coming until next Tuesday. Thanks to you I will have an extra bargaining power, by telling him that Telstra does it all.
Optus said in their instructions, that I could book one of their techs. but there would be a fee. What a cheek! I would rather get my own tech. to do it than give them the extra money. I'm already paying for the service.
:text-thankyou:

Trishia I'm with Telstra and have been so for many years, that's not to
say I have not had problems with them in the early days that is until
i may them an offer they could not refuse, provide me a service or i
will go somewhere else.
Since that time things have been ok, i pay an extra $12 dollars a month
for their platinum service which gives me access to their tech people, i
also bought Apple care with my computer which also gives me access
to their tech people so i am well covered. Then again i can afford it not
everyone can and adding to that i live 100klm from the nearest town. :happy-sunshine:
