"WONDER"

Post by Trishia » 04 Dec 2017, 10:15

We went to a new film yesterday, called Wonder!
It's a sad and wonderful little tale of a young boy, born disfigured.
After 27 operations, he is still badly disfigured.
This is the story of his experiences when He starts School for the first time.
You want to cry for him, and kill some of the rotten kids at the school.
A very good film, which would enlighten any kids who are inclined to bullying.
I sat next to a little boy of about 7 years old. He was immersed in the film from start to finish.
The older of us viewers also sat transfixed. So it reached everyone.

It would be good if films like that could be shown in schools.

I am not a fan of tear-jerkers but the comments I have read are overwhelmingly in favour of "Wonder".
Perry's idea to use it as an educational tool sounds very good strategy!
