Mavis, if someone is delusional and believes in "sky fairies" why worry about it? Let them embrace their delusions and live their lives accordingly - who knows, they may even be RIGHT. I have nightmares about you and I standing at the pearly gates, humbly apologising to the supreme fairy and begging for admittance.

Digest this if you will, Theosophist: No, IT does not; for the simple reason that it is Absolute Thought itself. Nor does it exist, for the same reason, as it is absolute existence, and Be-ness, not a Being. . . . . . . . . . :character-oldtimer: \:D/ \:D/
This might be up your alley, Dukey. 3 minute video . https://www.filmsforaction.org/watch/we ... gh-energy/

Asserting something to be true doesn't make it so; evidence does.

Perry, I can understand your disagreement with listening to your feelings rather than logic. Of course.
As a non-scientific enquirer, I would be interested to learn where else he has gone astray. You're the expert around here, whereas I am an ignorarm ass!

By comparison, oh very much. I'm just interested in things I'll never understand. :heeheehee
Come on, give me a clue as to the facts and fallacies of his science. Not his opinion.

He begins with a generalisation about human behaviour, moves on to talk about quantum physics, and then somehow equates quantum "energy" with human feelings. I wasn't convinced.

Evidence unseen proves nothing. Evidence must be seen, evaluated and assessed by the human mind or minds. Sometimes the same evidence leads to different conclusions depending on which minds examine the evidence.

The word "soul" is often bandied about and has different meanings to different people. Some believe that ones soul is the divine spark that links us to God and is eternal. While others (philosophers etc) may believe it to be the spirit or essence of a person, perhaps even their intellect. It is often said that lower animals do not possess a soul yet many species exhibit intelligence......some can communicate at a rudimentary level and likewise some use tools. Examination of the "soul" is confined to intellectual discussion as it cannot be detected by human senses nor can its exact location in the body be determined. The "long and short" of it is that we can neither prove or disprove even the existence of the soul.
There, Mavis......how is that for a long winded way of saying "I dont have a clue" \:D/

It's a music that originated in black American gospel singing and is closely related to rhythm and blues.

Well said, Hugo. One such philosophy (Plato again I think) talks about a trinity, body (material), soul (thought and emotion), and spirit (divine spark)
A few quote thoughts about "I couldn't help myself,""I wouldn't be able to live with myself," and such, wondering who is this second self that's giving an opinion. Is that the soul?
