Windows 10 version 16....

I installed a driver checker, including SlimCleaner Plus, at one stage when I was desperate. It just now tells me that no drivers are out of date, but is presenting me with an update for Windows 10 version 16(something,I presume 1607) to download. Good to go or not?

If i have doubts i usually just wait a while, then google it looking for problems.
Computer forums often light up if there are any problems with software.

There is a substantial Windows 10 1607 update ready for download. It installed on my laptop yesterday. Took about half-an-hour.

Hi DW,I am always curious when someone downloads any program that sounds unfamiliar to me.

Here are some comments about Slim Cleaner Plus:

I use one cleaner program, ccleaner, that is well regarded. It's free, unless you want more features. It's safe to use, or I wouldn't have it, and I've used it for as long as I can remember.

I'd never heard of it before, and like you I'm suspicious, especially if it checks drivers. Drivers are best left alone unless a specific problem is reported.

This is now 18 months or so old, and I did install Malwarebytes Pro.
Thing is, it's now giving me the pip flashing messages about that site being blocked.
I thought I can stop this by deleting, uninstalling, (or whatever) the offender
But I don't want to mistakenly get rid of the wrong thing!
Can someone tell me if these can go?

DriverSupport.exe.config
DriverSupport.Updater.exe
DriverSupport.Updater.exe.config
DriverSupport.chm

It's proprietary software, usually installed without your knowledge when you install another program. You can safely delete those programs.

Delete or Uninstall ?

If you delete you may delete files that are needed also with another program (shared)

Personally, I'd delete it unless there's an uninstall option, which programs like that tend not to have.
