Buck !.... when I switched to NBN last year, I had no phone or internet from day one...... and it went on for 14 days.
Despite calls to Westnet (iinet) in a land, far, far away, (Johannesburg South Africa), and to Telstra and also many calls to NBN Co, nothing happened.
NBN CO failed to arrive at my house on three separate dates after I made appointments with them...... oh, and they said that they tried to phone me and tell me that they couldn't keep the appointment....
they phoned me on my landline which of course wasn't connected !
In the end, the only way I resolved the issue was to whinge to my local member in Gouldburn NSW and hey presto !.... the NBN guy turned up within hours and fixed it !
Simple.... my line had been connected to someone elses connection at the node !
Bloody incompetent NBN !
