Buck !.... when I switched to NBN last year, I had no phone or internet from day one...... and it went on for 14 days.

Despite calls to Westnet (iinet) in a land, far, far away, (Johannesburg South Africa), and to Telstra and also many calls to NBN Co, nothing happened.
NBN CO failed to arrive at my house on three separate dates after I made appointments with them...... oh, and they said that they tried to phone me and tell me that they couldn't keep the appointment.... they phoned me on my landline which of course wasn't connected !

In the end, the only way I resolved the issue was to whinge to my local member in Gouldburn NSW and hey presto !.... the NBN guy turned up within hours and fixed it !
Simple.... my line had been connected to someone elses connection at the node !
:kiss_my_bum:
Bloody incompetent NBN !

When I was on holiday the other day, a couple arrived and introduced themselves to the guests who were propping up the bar. "So, what do you do then, Alan?" asked someone. "I work for NBN in Queensland," Alan replied. Big mistake. Most of the guests were from Queensland. Poor Alan copped heaps!

If all else fails, Dukey, cut out the picture and sellotape it to your screen. :icon_biggrin:

This has become an issue on some forums : http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-40492668
But not here it appears. Tinypics is also a Photobucket company, but does not appear to be causing similar problems, yet.
