Beaut country side Buck, I wonder if the odds AGAINST NBN turning up tomorrow are a good bet?

Give me 100/1 and I take $10.00 AGAINST!

I had some initial problems when the NBN was connected.(my fault) After causing a ruckus at the local Telstra shop, and a threat, from them,to call the police,I got what I wanted. A technician,at no cost to me,came and connected it all up correctly.Except for the occassional drop-out I have had no problems since.

I've been NBN'd for 2 years now and it all went smoothly except for the hiccup when they found asbestos in an old pit up in Hobbit Town. So 2 months later they came when they said they would and finally an extra pleasant Telstra tech came and got all the computers up and running. I even had an NBN Co-ordinator at Telstra who kept ringing before and after appointments to see if I was happy! Those were heady days.

However, after 2yrs of 25mbps download which I was happy with, some times now we have days of just getting up to 3.1mbps d/l which puts me about 222776th in the world rankings. Yada yada yada.....I blame Malcolm of course.

Slapsy, how much did it cost you in bribe money to get such good services?

Lynny, same question. You people must be fairly rich!

Buck, retail therapy ? A new Tuscon?
You could use that new car to deliver your emails. It'll be faster than NBN!

It was October 2014 GF. Halcyon days of NBN hope and prosperity................and then it all went wrong. :icon-mrgreen:

So Buck, didn't they turn up? No apologies? That's just rude!

No money changed hands Godfather, and I even got a free month following an early week without service. All I needed was a loud voice,to get through to them that, because my home phone was not working,I needed to use theirs. All was good after that, except every time I walked past the shop, for the next few weeks, one young girl rushed to the back room.

I must have been lucky. My NBN was installed under the ALP regime. Like Lynny,I also had my own personal co-ordinator,all the way from Delhi. His name was Jameel. I almost hung up on him,the first time he rang me,but he was really helpful. Unlike Buck's experience, everything happened exactly as Jameel said it would.
What a shame that Labor couldn't have finished the job, rather than leaving it for the bloke who invented the internet.
