Re: Tracy Holmes: My mobile phone number was hijacked
My wife had a message the other week, from a bank"click on & update you security"
Trouble is she did not have an account with that Bank!
The last time we dealt with the bank involved was 20 years ago, with our mortgage,
& this was a joint account!

still don't understand how they did it.
even one layer of security would involve a password or security question.
when i call telstra they only ask for your name and date of birth for routine matters.
which goes to show you should guard your date of birth and never put in a profile for social media.

Holmes had her date of birth on her Facebook account. Foolish. I have minimum identification info on my FB and twitter accounts. Also, I never let on I'm going on holiday.
