Save Obama care

Post by mavisbramston » 28 Jul 2017, 19:18

Obama care medi aid call it what you like the majority of Americans want it. Obama tried valiantly and despite what one hears he got further than any other President. It was not the health care program he wanted BUT every step of the way the red necks blocked him.
The reason I post this is because with the ramblings in the media one gets the impression Americans are celebrating the dismantling of Obama care. They are NOT.

You are correct Mavis to overturn it now would put
2 million Americans without health care a damning
indictment on those Republicans (not all) who are bent
on repealing all Obama's work, just what i would expect
from this LNP government.

It didn't get through again today, with enough Republicans refusing to vote for it. Trump is the lamest president ever.

Trump thinks running a government and country is the
same as running a business then surrounds himself with
dick heads, does anyone get that feeling they want him
gone and the sooner the better. But his deputy is a bigger
problem.?

Trump's experience as a billionaire business man has only taught him to say,

The whole Trump exercise has taught us one thing very clearly. You do not run a country like a business. Many of us have been saying this for years.

I think there is a huge diffenrence between Trump. Turnbull is a could have been. The man who used to believe in climate change, marriage eqbuality and even a republic suddenly became gutless and changed all his values just to appease the extreme right who will never accept him any way.
Turnbull is indeed a could have been while Trump is a never was. He will never have the intelligence or dignity to be a true President.

Mavis, I would have thought that Turnbull's earlier values were changed for him!
Saying that 'forces above him' have induced him to do back-flips to keep his job!

Getting back to the thread topic, it seems that medical costs in the U.S. have become astronomical and the poor and disadvantaged can no longer afford basic health care. It seems to me that the wealthy just dont want to pay anything to subsidise those in need. I really cant see any worthwhile medical scheme emerging there while the Republicans are in power and only a slightly higher chance with the Democrats.

Thus Hugo, the face of inequality is showing itself to the world and people are demanding change, the rich will not give up their spoils without a fight but the will of the people is greater than they, whether I see it in my life time who can tell but the movement has started which I am sure your aware of. :character-oldtimer: :icon-mrgreen:
