That wedding

Post by mavisbramston » 20 May 2018, 08:30

Ok I am a Republican but I like Harry and I watched the wedding. Lovely but ruined but this pathetic dick head who preached fire and brimstone . I was hoping he would shut up but he waffled over acted and bored all of us . The Queen looked bored. So was I your Majesty.

#black entertainment matters.
Clearly they were trying to acknowledge the afro-american heritage.
But agree Creflo Dollar overdid it.

I didn't watch anything but the important arrivals. (Just turned Netflix off)
I did get from twitter the photo from during the 'vicars bit' of, Betty, not amused, Phil, totally confused and young Willy trying to hold it together. Looked like fun.....

And when did every news channel start to use lipreaders?

Didn't watch it. I couldn't because I was at 30,000ft over the Pacific at the time, but I wouldn't have anyway. Sure, they make a nice couple and I wish them well, but they represent undeserved privilege, which is far too prevalent at the moment.

With all the hype that was in our newspapers and on the television these last few weeks, I had no interest in watching the wedding, one of our main television channels broadcast the wedding from 9.30 until 3pm, the other main one was on from 9.30 until 2pm............so my Amazon Firestick worked overtime yesterday. :heeheehee

Have to agree, the sermon spoilt it for me. Other than that, I thought it was a lovely service, enjoyed the gospel choir singing Stand By Me.

I wasn't going to watch it but changed my mind and glad I did. Granddaughters came round in the morning and I decorated my living room with flags and bunting and had made some fairy cakes for them to ice with red white and blue.

I watched the ultra quick version, under 3 minutes! https://www.facebook.com/BBCOne/videos/ ... 013589508/
None of the actual ceremony, but now I think I might check a little of that, just so I know what's what!

I'm now more than ever convinced it was a Hollywood production.

Oh dear! I got few moments of the American preacher delivering a raving sermon on love! Episcapalion, too, equivalent of Anglican, but the Archbishop didn't seem impressed. :eek

No I didn't see "The wedding," but read the Episcopalian Bishop's(I didn't know what colour he is) article in the Weekend Australian & found his message on love quite sincere, also interesting. If we had more love in this world, there'd be less wars, quarrels among neighbours, families etc.,

I didn't watch it but for the past two days, TV continues to re-hash the wedding.
I'm sick and tired it....
yes, it seemed to be bordering on being a Hollywood production.
I was surfing TV channels this morning and I saw a snippet of Harry and his wife driving off, in what appeared to be an old "E" type Jaguar sports car
.......but, it was a left hand drive model ?
Huh ?...
this is a British made car, right hand drive is the norm.
Is this another ploy by his wife to Americanise Harry ?

I agree, Teddy, if it is read. It was his raving presentation of it that was almost ludicrous!
