"Neo-socialism"? No, I wouldn't use "socialism", it's too easily misunderstood. "Communalism"? A bit of a mouthful, and easily confused with "communism". "Post-capitalism" suggests no private enterprise, and that's not the case. It has to be something that embraces the notion of prioritising public interest (a.k.a. the public good). Not easy, I agree.

Crikey I am back in the 70s. Love it Perrorist. Give Frank Hardy another rough red and pass the joint. Are you guys sure we never met in the Socialist collective days?

I see an economic system where public utilities are returned to government ownership, priority given to public health and education, basic income guarantee, and strict controls placed over private enterprise to keep them honest (including paying taxes, director registration, public interest compliance).
New Zealand under Jacinda Adhern?

It's going to be interesting to see how NZ fares. Entrenched interests are arrayed against Ardern, but I hope she perseveres.

Holy smoke!
We really got off the track with this subject, didn't we?

Mind you it made interesting conversation, the side track, but would have loved to obtained your suggestions on how to catch those "illegal visitors"?

GF, would you like to split off posts from the mention of "isms", into another topic with that title? I don't know if I'm still capable!
