I'm just not seeing the hate on facebook. Nil from 'ordinary' people.
I don't go looking for hate sites on facebook, i'm sure there is plenty of hate on any topic.

I'm sure your right Mavis but i always look for the cause,
the why. The why in my view is the postal vote, why open
an avenue for hatred, the cause, and its effects will divide
the community and all because a gutless government does
not want to be held accountable for its actions.

Mavis, just a suggestion and not an order, do not subscribe to Facebook if you can't stand the heat!

It is one of the most hateful sites on the net and I will never ever subscribe to it again.
Have been Facebook free for 5 years now and feel extremely relieved!

I have no problem with Facebook. In my 'friends' list I have the people I truly regard as friends.I don't make 'public' posts. We exchange much of varying interests, come from varied backgrounds, don't always agree, and in all I find it much like Silverpeers! Facebook is so huge you can make your portion of it what you want it.

I've seen it in the comments following an article on news media sites. There are some very disturbed individuals in our society and they try to displace their shortcoming and insecurities by spewing hatred at others.

Yes Perry. I had been thinking only of sites and individuals I choose myself. Accessing news sites is something we probably all do, but these news sites maintain their own Facebook pages, which I also try to steer clear of. Not always possible, I agree, if a friend copies and pastes into your feed!

Here ya go Mavis ! .... :character-oldtimer:

It seems like the local farming community in my neck o the woods has already voted.
I spotted this sign yesterday so I pulled over in my car and took a pic through the side window.
This is a cattle farm and they've recently cut and bailed a lot of silage, big round bales of hay or other green fodder compacted and stored in airtight plastic wrap without first being dried, and used as animal feed in the winter.

They normally stack these around the paddocks for future use when there's not much feed left growing.
These rolls are quite big and heavy... each one is almost the size of a small car.

Anyways, this particular farmer has moved some silage rolls to a section of his paddock bordering the main roadway. He or she has constructed a nice little billboard and written his or her vote for all the world to see.

My wife and I are involved in a group of parents of gay kids. The hate stuff is hitting hard.
Some of the Chritain lobby have no right to call themselves Christains. The hate is unbelievable. We tell them that regardless of what happens we will be there in support. My son is a very gutsy young man and he and his husband say, quite rightly, that the LGBTI community will never stop fighting for equality. I am so proud.
