ICIJ (off-shore banking)

Post by grandduke » 06 Nov 2017, 11:50

So here we go again with the offshore treasure troves, does anyone ever remember
anyone going to gaol for causing the global financial crisis, why of cause not and this
liberal national government has the temerity to attack its own aged pensioners.

All governments are so tax-hungry these days that anyone or everyone is looking for ways to conceal assets - whether it be stashed in an offshore account or in a tin buried in the backyard. "Let he who is without sin......." :twocents-mytwocents:

There'll be the usual outrage and then it'll be ignored again.

Well, if you haven't known much about the "Paradise Papers" then do read this article.
It takes about 20-30 minutes but your jaw will have had a rest on the floor during the reading.

Tax Havens everywhere and almost every global company gets a mention in dispatches.
No, it isn't illegal but ethically it is a crime against humanity, and it must be brought under control.
How and when depends on "Perro's" post above because their isn't anyone in high office who will not be losing and consequently all will be fine again.

Move on, nothing to see here!

GD, I felt compelled to add to the title of your post to attract those readers who only glance at headlines and don't read it because the headline didn't disclose the story.

Sorry mate, hope you'll still save a bottle of moonshine for me!
