The mistake was in stupidly thinking they would get away with it especially when taking into account all the cameras watching their every move - the action itself was certainly premeditated and obviously wrong for so many reasons. But who amongst us hasn't been guilty of doing something equally dumb at some stage of their life and then bitterly regretting that action down the track only because we have been caught out. I know I have. They were caught, the punishment has been swift and harsh and they are very remorseful about the effect their actions have caused not just on themselves, but on their coach, their families and the loss of faith from the average Aussie - no need to keep beating them over the head about it - their own conscience will do that.

The punters know that the horse called Morality rarely gets past the post, whereas the nag called Self-interest always runs a good race. ..... Gough Whitlam 19/10/89

What is wrong with our media?
1. It's a holiday period.
2. Parliament is in recess.
3. The Commonwealth Games haven't started yet.

Where can a journo find something to write about or find news footage other than sport at a time like this?

On a more serious note, those other incidents were criminal and their might have been some sub judice restrictions at the time of the offences.
If you don't have an ASIO file by now then you should be ashamed of yourself.
