Electric bed removal

Post by mavisbramston » 03 Mar 2017, 08:54

I may be moving. Electric beds are wonderful. They are heavy and tricky though. Any tips on moving them from one point to another. I cant do it these days.

Is it Ikea? You'll need an Allen key.

Mavis are you moving house or the bed to another room?
Removalists will do it if moving house
To move to another position in the house, Take mattress off lower bed to lower position
disconnect power, then two men can stand the bed on end place on a double folded blanket
and one pull blanket the other guide bed through door to where the bed has to finish.
Should not have to pull bed apart. I moved a hospital bed(Electric for my father when he
was alive & this old man was able. :character-oldtimer:

Removalists can transport a grand piano so an electric bed wouldn't be a problem for them.

Terra you are probably right. I might be worrying too much. The inside seems complicated. Thanks for the comments...appreciated
