Woo-Hoo !
It's all good Buck !
Geez, it's quite incredible how the modern smart TV has evolved. I didn't expect it to be that good.
The set-up procedure is a little drawn out, possibly helped along by my not-so-smart brain.
:teary
Now that it's up and running, I now feel that it was worth scrambling my brains for.
Everything is right there on the home page screen..... Normal free to air TV,
iview, sbs on demand, Stan, Netflix, YouTube and anything else that's streamable.
Picture and sound quality is excellent. The remote control is tiny, uncluttered and simple to operate by feel.... really no need to even look at it. It's also paired to the TV by Bluetooth so there's no need to point the remote at the TV.
It also has voice control if you're feeling lazy..... for example, press the voice button and just say what you want such as, "channel 2" or "Netflix" and it takes you there.
I originally went to buy a bottom end Hisense 32 inch smart TV for $425 but the pushy salesman in Hardly Normal convinced my wife that it was crap and sold us a Samsung 32 inch smart TV at $689.
Grrrr !
I was pissed off about that ! :kiss_my_bum:
Another unforgivable sin on Samsung's part is to NOT include the 4 Vesa screws that attach the wall or ceiling mount to the back of the TV.
All other brands automatically supply them.
What makes it worse is, the screws are metric M4 size but an unusual size of 45 mm in length and no other screw will fit the recessed threaded holes on the rear of the TV.
Been trying for days to buy them and they aren't stocked by any of the large hardware shops such as Bunnings. :kiss_my_bum:
Finally got them from a screw specialist..... but I shouldn't have to go that much trouble, particularly for a high end Samsung product that cost way too much.
I will be sending them a seething email tomorrow from grumpy old man Terra.
.......as much as I'm happy with my new telly, I won't be buying another Samsung product..... especially when it comes time to upgrade the lounge room telly to a 55 inch smart TV.

Rant finished now !

Thanks big dad l
Bugger !.... I never even thought of looking on eBay.
I will order some there because I'm not happy with the quality of the ones that I bought.
Just 4 mm diameter plus poor quality
doesn't give me confidence when it comes to hanging my TV.
