I am so happy to be here

Post by Nomad » 30 Oct 2013, 22:46

Hi everyone.

I am happy to be able to join you all to connect with people of my own generation.

A little bit about me... I am in my late 50's, and I work as a consultant for Australian Aid. I live and work in SE Asia and hope to return home before I retire. Home is on the NSW South Coast but I haven't lived there for almost 10 years. I have three adult kids, one son and two daughters and I am blessed with two adorable grandsons. I chose my username, Nomad, because that is how I feel these days, here, but not connected.

I am excited to be here and can't wait to meet you all, join in the conversations, and check out that games section! :wqoohoo

Welcome Nomad. Plenty to see here .... always. :handgestures-thumbsupright:
The last interglacial had less ice, higher sea levels, and warmer temperatures than this one. So, according to the evidence so far, human activity must have a COOLING effect.

Hi Nomad, great to see you taking part so quickly. Hope you enjoy the this little group of Vegemites all trying to keep their brains active for the longer haul.
We really don't have a deep end or any delinquents but we all have our own opinions.
You'll probably notice that we are all quite friendly and open, but we do call a spade a spade at times.

I'll be forever demonised if I don't mention the longest running game on our forum, if not all forums, the "progressive Limericks".
It started in October 2005, and it is still running and very popular. Have a look when you have time and take part. It's good fun.

In case that you do get lost in our forum maze, don't hesitate to ask for guidance. Most of our members would fall over themselves to help a damsel in distress.

Welcome aboard the good ship "Silverpeers"!
