Hi All - Pommy here.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all. I was directed to this site by Maggs, after becoming disillusioned with another site.
I live in Canberra and am interested in politics, poetry, reading and socialising.

Welcome Pommy ..... does the name indicate that you were not born in Oz?
The last interglacial had less ice, higher sea levels, and warmer temperatures than this one. So, according to the evidence so far, human activity must have a COOLING effect.

Welcome Pommy, another ex pommy here too, came here in 1952 (I was 12)when Dad was sent here to work for Perkins Diesel, then went back when I was 18 for three years and then came back here as a $10 pom. Eventually became an Aussie after living here for years and very proud to be one.

G'day Pommy... sorry for the late welcome but I've been away for a little holiday. I reckon we're all Pommys at heart because our ancestors came to this country 200 odd years ago and stole it from the Abbos (indigenous people).

cheers ! :wave
