CABBAGE PATCH CAT

CABBAGE PATCH CAT ...Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBark Poet
Cabbage Patch Cat - Copy.PNG
There's a cat amongst the cabbages, I noticed him to day
hidden beneath a cabbage leaf. Had he come there to play?
Or was he chasing cabbage moths or stink bugs with their pong?
One thing's for sure - once my dog sees him he won't stay there long.

There's a cat amongst the cabbages, he wears a feline grin.
Seems quite relaxed, just chillin' out, nothing much worries him.
He sports a bright red collar with a tinkling little bell
supposed to give birds warning he's a predator from hell.

There's a cat amongst the cabbages - why he's there I don't know
but the early morning sunbeams give his white fur quite a glow.
He isn't doing any harm - he doesn't worry me.
Live and let live I reckon - he likes cabbages, like me.

I am not a great fan of cats but I did enjoy the poem and the clever photo.

I don't visit this section very often, but that may change in the future. =D> =D> =D>
