Treating lower back aches without drugs and surgery by 'rethinking pain'
My wife can attest to this. She was told her spine had crumbled in the lumbar region and she would end up in a wheelchair. That was over 30 years ago. She chose to ignore physio and other advice and carried on regardless. Her spine is still the same but she's so used to the pain it doesn't bother her.

I agree with the 'moving around' bit of advice.
Have found it painful at first to move around with a bad back/knee/ assorted pain at first
But exercising the joints a bit does seem to help recovery.

After my last enforced bed rest my knees objected strongly to getting going again, but given orders not to protest, a little exercise soon fixed them. :icon_biggrin:
