for the crumbs offered by these pilferers in
government, stand up Man make your presence

Maybe luxury for you Buck, but I know more than a handful of 'normal' people who are sweating on a few extra shillings every six months.

That's not greed because these raises are already calculated into our costs at the Supermarkets some 3 months before we see the compensation.

Buck keeps saying that we have no money in the kitty and need to beg for loans everywhere.
My first thought was that may be "the most useless" * of our system should contribute a little more towards our budget and reduce their own income and benefits.

* "The most useless" = Politicians of all colours and ranks!

Let me make one very important point to the conservative blue ribbon
Buck, age pension is not welfare (right). :character-oldtimer:
OK the next point that needs clarifying, this is not a poor country and
never has been, now considering there are only 24 million people on one
of the largest Island continents in the world, what are we really worth.
Snippet from wikipedia.
The economy of Australia is developed and one of the largest mixed market economies in the world, with a GDP of AUD$1.69 trillion as of 2017.[29] Australia is the second wealthiest nation in terms of wealth per adult, after Switzerland.[30] The economy of Australia is developed and one of the largest mixed market economies in the world, with a GDP of AUD$1.69 trillion as of 2017.[29] Australia is the second wealthiest nation in terms of wealth per adult, after Switzerland.[30] Australia's total wealth was AUD$8.9 trillion as of June 2016.[31] In 2016, it had the 14th largest national economy by nominal GDP[2] and 20th largest by PPP-adjusted GDP.[3] In 2016, Australia was the 25th-largest goods exporter and 20th-largest importer.[32][33] Australia took the record for the longest run

Ok cuppla points:
are the battlers paying these pensions getting a payrise every 6 months? NO. :character-oldtimer: :character-oldtimer:
Can the battlers propping up pensioners in their million dollar homes afford to buy a home? NO :character-oldtimer: :character-oldtimer:

I saw figures the other day: only 16% of home buyers are new home buyers.
Debt and deficit is on an unsustainable path: With 26 years of non stop growth the government should be rolling in money.
Why are we living on the credit card? Soft cocks we vote for. :character-oldtimer: :character-oldtimer: :character-oldtimer:

The signs are all there Buck, 122 million for a postal vote
we don't need, corporate Australia getting away with not
paying billions in taxes that would cover Hospitals, roads,
pensions, and all the other services we have been robbed
of, no it's easier to attack the weak and vulnerable no
what a sad indictment of a government and any government
that show such incompetence. :character-oldtimer:

Hmmm! $6.10 I believe ... less $1.52 rent rise ( public housing) leaves $4.58 ... not quite enough for an extra 'payday' pint but it'll get me a schooner in Happy Hour ... all good =D=

Hey Biuck !.. :character-oldtimer:
what do you define as a "battler' ?
....are you a " battler" ?
Probably a rude question, but what pay grade do you fall into ?

I'm not afraid to tell you mine.....
Aged Pension (part) - $552 per fortnight
Part Time Job 10 hrs per week - $360 fortnight

I own my home and my 12 year old car, so, am I a battler or a filthy rich pensioner ?
:hhuuuhhhh
