Whatever you think of Kevin Rudd (and I'm no great fan), his take on the US-China relationship is well worth reading:

Brilliant Mr Rudd.
I was a huge fan and still a huge fan of Kevin Rudd. Some wont like me saying it but I think history will treat him well.
Please dont presume I disliked Gillard , far from it but the dismissal sacking of Rudd was a poor decision. Gillard was impressive but people never forgave her for a few things.
Back to the topic I think China is the last country Australia should be afraid of. We go back a long way and the track record is impressive.

Chinese friends remarked that Mr Rudd spoke perfect Chinese.
I think we lost a great talent.
