Red lines on the floor of the chamber of the British House of Commons, one ahead of each side of the front bench, are supposedly greater than two sword lengths apart so that no opposing members become embroiled in a duel mid-debate. :lol:

That would be inadequate these days. If you're within mortar range, you're vulnerable.
