Poor service.

Post by Trishia » 09 Jul 2019, 14:46

I have been ON and OFF the internet and landline phone for the past 2 weeks.
On speaking to friends I FOUND THAT THEY HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING LATELY.
It seems both the TELCOS are at fault, with slow service, and people taking forever to send a proper technician. They try to get YOU to fix the fault at your end, which is rather scary.
However after you ring the Ommbudsman, they pick up their act.
I hope we stay on line this time.

Let's hope the Ombudsman makes it happen. Nothing worse these days after we've become dependent on reliable communications to keep being let down like this.

It is still happening Perry!
We have been ON for a couple of hours, then off etc., and it is sooo frustrating.
All we want if for someone to check the connections in the street, and to the house. So far all they have done is mess around. I am taking the opportunity to post this while we are still able.
We could get up in the morning, to find we are off the air again.
I am glad I have a mobile phone, or it would be awful!

Do you know the kind of NBN connection you have? Like, is it fibre-to-the-premises or fibre-to-the-node? Or something else? Or are you still on the old service?

All four major banks have confirmed “sporadic outages” of services including ATM and Eftpos access across the country, with fingers increasingly being pointed at the country’s largest telco Telstra.
