Flushed maybe but not flushed away. :icon_biggrin:

We got off lightly. The horizontal rain managed to find the weekest parts of the roof so there was water running down a few walls but we mopped up and hope it will be another 98 years until Hobart sees that kind of weather event again.
Tasmania really doesn't have serious electrical storms. Just a couple of flashes and a few rumbles but that one on Thursday night hung about for hours. Quite spectacular really. But 2 hours sleep isn't enough for me these days.

I saw the video of the student dorms at the Uni, - the water was head high at the peak. :eek

I just heard that the lower floor shops and underground car park of our local shopping centre will be closed for 6 weeks. That includes Woolies big new supermarket. Coles will be no doubt pleased about that.
