John and Betty


You all might be too young for that one. This is the book people of my generation learned to read from. It started with lines like THIS IS JOHN. THIS IS BETTY.Rather boring but as kids it wasso exciting when we could move onto the next reader. I dont think we found it boring. READER tats the word we used. I remember when I taught for a while the mosern teachers strogly rebelled against the word reader. I wonder if they use John and Betty still? I guess not. The next book was called HOLIDAYS. :lol:
