Songs that make you cry

Post by lynny » 22 Jan 2018, 12:17

.
I recently read that 'Moon River' was one of the most complex pop songs written.
In answer to that most twitter people said that it always made them cry.

I've never cried at a song in my life ! (It has been said my heart is but a swinging brick........ )

Do you have a cry-along song?

I went looking for one that might make me cry, and I gave up. This is the closest I found. Although the setting and circumstance contribute, the song itself does a fair job.

Lots of people seem to say....'Ah, that's our song' or 'That's the first record I ever bought' or maybe 'I always think of mom when I hear that!'

Stirring music moves me such as the crowd at Cardiff Arms Park singing 'Bread of Heaven' before the rugby or at the soccer at Anfield before Liverpool play at home and they belt out 'When you walk through a storm'. Something like that always gives me shivers.

My first record was Elvis singing Hound Dog. :icon_biggrin:

Sorry Teddy but I was only 13 when I bought the Elvis record.

My interest in rugby came much later. I would love to have been there to hear that but had to do with seeing it on TV. :icon_biggrin:

What melody stirs your emotions Teddy?

Ok......now I'm totally confused.
Do I like Cwm Rhondda or the Welsh Nat Anthem sung before the Rugby?
My apologies to your people Teddy. I obviously talk like I sing.....through my hat.
