A couple of weeks back, via Facebook and a bit of Youtube I started to learn how to fingerspell the alphabet using British Sign Language. Am okay with that now and have moved onto learning a few phrases similar to the ones shown in your link. I doubt I'll ever become proficient but a basic knowledge won't go amiss.

I tried to get my wife to learn ASL so I wouldn't need to repeat what I said two or three times before she understood what I was saying. However, she thought she was too old to learn it, so we continue to have misunderstandings. I certainly recommend learning it and hope to master some of it for the rare occasions I need to use it.
