I finally caught up with this film.
Sunny PawR as the little boy is simply wonderful. The young actor who plays his brother is also special.

Abhishek Bharate is his name and its a beautiful performance.
The movie looks superb. The scenes of India are rich and vivid as well as scenes of Tasmania. The mood evoked by the music is really moving. You really feel forthe little boy lost in the streets of India. The faces of the people and depiction of the culture and the poverty is remarkable. Despite the poverty I loved the dignity and warmth of the little boys family. . This is a film rich in humanity.

The whole cast are great.
Dev Patel is the older boy and Nicole Kidman delivers another moving understated perfrormance.
Adoption has had some bad press at times but this film presents a compassionate case.
Lion is a sensitive moving film. Have the tissues ready..

Its beautiful.
The title is a surprise but youwill have to wait and it will be clear, beautifully, at the end of the film.

Mavis,

I went to JB HI FI and bought the video of LION. It had finished in our Cinemas.
I haven't watched it yet, but I will report when I do.

I watched LION today Mavis.
I thought the actor that played the little boy was wonderful. I got very emotional watching him trying to get someone to help hi etc.
I wasn't quite as happy with the grown up little boy's story. I felt it dragged a bit.
But overall I enjoyed the film, it kept me interested, and I was glad He found His Mother.

Yes to your question "did I see "The shape of Water" I loved it!
Keep well,
:good_luck
