Why I don't go on FACEBOOK.

This is totally unacceptable in this day and age. The worst thing is , that the winner already had EIGHT wives.
Who would want a Father like hers??????

Child marriage is rife in Sudan, I read, and polygamy. This is so foreign to our culture!

I wonder about men with more than one wife taking in some of these girls, not primarily for sex, but akin to adoption, providing for and protecting them. They might be seen as servants, or slaves, and at some stage when adult fulfill a sexual role. All too strange for me to imagine, and I guess there are many varying circumstances, regardless of what is lawful or not in the country. I see the legal age for marriage there is 18.

Yes, there is a lot to criticise about Facebook, and it has a huge responsibility to monitor posts. Personally I have only a private page, with my own vetted friends on it, and never enter the public field. I detest the worst of Facebook, but admire the best of it. Its algorythms, which I can certainly criticise, still ensure that what feeds to me is of primary interest to me.
I dream, therefore I am.

I thought eBay was used for auctions, not Facebook. Yes, I agree with limiting its use. I spend more time there than I should, but I'm a member of certain groups, and I would lose touch otherwise. I also use FluffBuster to control my feed and other content, including ads.

My usual comment after each divorce was.... "It seemed like a good idea at the time".

It's like some marriages.
He said he's been married for forty years, but it seems longer.
