Again we see that this is very far from being a simple problem while Netenyahu proposes his simple solution - "Jerusalem belongs to the Jews". Israel is illegally occupying the Palestinian territories and holding an entire people hostage. He will never permit a sovereign Palestine to exist, haven army or any kind of self-defence capability and his obvious ambition is to acquire the Palestinian territories and dispossess its people.

Ismail Abadiyeh's experience of losing his home. And the terror and devastation caused by the military raids and demolitions in Sur Baher (where 72 homes were destroyed)

Israel would be in a lot of trouble if it wasn't backed by the US.

There is a steadily increasing number of countries that now recognise the state of Palestine (which infuriates Israel) and I understand that while not granted membership to the U.N., Palestine has for some time now had "observer" status with that body. Sooner or later, a change of occupant in the White House might trigger a backlash against the brutality of Israel against the Palestinian people and give them the homeland they long for.
