Lest we forget

Post by Perrorist » 11 Nov 2017, 15:41

I've discovered it's Remembrance Day today. My father (b. 1885) served in the Great War. He was wounded by a bullet in his thigh and sent to a French hospital. He told my mother they had the best nurses in the world ("very accommodating") and that if he was sent back to the front line, he'd make a point of getting wounded again for that reason.
