But is there proof?

Post by Dreamweaver » 02 Feb 2018, 22:06

3 min video

He states a proof, but I dunno, I could argue otherwise.
Anybody else see a hole in his reasoning?

I agree we have no proof of our being.

I do. If I don't like the way a dream is going, I change it. However, some dreams seem less amenable to intervention than others.

Doesn't convince me either, Trisha. If he's saying "I think, therefore I'm not dreaming", to me that's plainly false. Don't most people think in their dreams? Even when you dream you've woken up and are getting out of bed, thinking about the day ahead. Then you wake up and find you're still in bed!

Exactly right Dreamweaver!
I often dream of dead people, and think "Is this really happening, OR is it imagination???
I once dreamed that I was up in the stars and was suddenly sure of "everything" saying to myself "So that's what life is all about".
Unfortunately, when I awoke, I couldn't remember what it was that convinced me what life was all about.
I don't think we are supposed to know, until we die and go over to..........
I certainly can't believe the rubbish that religion teaches. It has more holes in it that a strainer.

My thoughts too, Trishia. No-one is truly wise until they realise how ignorant they are, imho. Yes, I'm happy with people saying they 'know' God, I can't argue with that, it's their own experience. But knowing someone is quite different from knowing all about them, or even knowing very much at all. How much does a child know 'about' their parents, though of course they know them quite closely.
