I can remember having fish bones caught in my young throat,and Mum making me eat lumps of dry bread to clear it. I don't think that would have worked for this situation though.

Gheez mate, that guys was lucky. It could have killed him.
Happened when he cleaned the grill with a wire brush before the BBQ.
Good practice to wipe the grill after cleaning with some white paper towels.
I always do it with my right hand, 'cause the left one holds a beer!
