Broad beans oriental

I haven't got quantities for this, and haven't tried it. If some Silverpeer is adventurous enough, he/she might let us know the result! The main ingredient is broad beans. Perhaps serve with rice?


Broad beans
chopped garlic, shallots, chillis
Sambal Tumis sauce. (or whatever seems to suit)
A few prawns, optional
a small onion
1 cup water

1.. Fry chopped garlic, shallots, chillis till fragrant.

2. Add in sauce. Give it a quick stir.

3. Add beans and chopped onion, (and prawns if using,) give it a quick toss.

4. Add in water, stir evenly.

Cover up, simmer for a minute or two. Until the sauce has thickened and no longer watery. Serve hot with rice.
If liked, garnish with julienned chillies, fried anchovies, prawns, or whatever takes your fancy

Sounds great. Actually its pretty similar apart from the prawns and that sauce to a dish from the two fat ladies. I know their version used anchovies.
