Easter lunch

Post by mavisbramston » 30 Mar 2018, 20:56

Although not religious we have had fish on Good Friday. Breakfast its the fruit hot cross oven. We now heat them in the air fryer my favourite cooking aid.
The fish is smoked cod. Not sure why we only have it at Easter. Its delicious.
How do you cook it?
I poach it in milk gently.
chop. lots of parsely
Remove fish. Thicken milk for a white sauce.
Mashed potato

Sounds like my past, Mavis. I miss that smoked cod - sometimes with white sauce, sometimes smothered in butter! :icon_biggrin:
I dream, therefore I am.

We have fish on Good Friday because my wife says it saves her having to think about what to have for dinner.
