He really is an outlier. I guess he's just a pessimist, although he may be right. There are many clouds on the horizon.

How much understanding of economics do you need to grasp what this is saying : https://www.rba.gov.au/media-releases/2 ... 19-18.html

To paraphrase: "We don't know what to do, but we're doing it anyway."

The share market has boomed because of low interest rates and declining property prices. As far as I'm concerned, the stock market is a casino, and I don't feel sorry for those who lose.

You're probably right, Buck.
There isn't going to be a recession because the world is preparing for war.
The trade surplus is being attributed to rising iron ore prices.
More tanks, guns and war ships on the production lines?

Volatility is increasing around the globe. When that happens, a feedback loop develops that accelerates instability until something breaks. Large-scale war, global depression, rampant authoritarianism within western democracies - take your pick. I have 2020 vision and next year's not looking good, and it gets worse after that.

Surprisingly volatile just because the president lost a local election.

It's not getting any better. Global markets on 'borrowed time' In fact, it's getting worse.
