Interesting article here
https://rogermontgomery.com/why-our-oil ... ting-down/

Kwinana, our largest, is advertising jobs http://au.jobsgalore.com/jobs?ts=go&q=b ... SIQAvD_BwE

I thought they had closed, but Kwinana also had /has other plans, a huge lithium refinery - https://www.australianmining.com.au/new ... bs-follow/

Geelong, the next biggest is right now doing an upgrade.https://www.vivaenergy.com.au/terminals ... g/projects

The Lytton Refinery next, seems to be doing well. https://www.raskmedia.com.au/2018/02/27 ... 17-report/

And Altona - http://www.exxonmobil.com.au/en-au/comm ... employment

We do, too. Diesel emissions are more polluting.

If we were not importing so much refined fuel from Singapore, our refineries would have far better economies of scale. I believe that our military have often pointed out to government the strategic importance of being able to refine our own oil. Should war break out, we could be out of fuel in a matter of weeks.....how stupid is THAT.

No fuel means.....

no cars for transport, no diesel trains for freight, no harbourferries, no cruise ships, no freighter ships, no police cars, no ambulances, no fire trucks, no commercial aircraft, no defence force vehicles, ships or aircraft, ......
now.....just how is your local supermarket going to get food supplies in ?.... remember, all transport has ground to a halt.
But then, no food is being harvested, produced or manufactured, so it doesn't really matter !
Hospitals shut down.... there's no fuel for cars or public transport, nursing staff and doctors have no way of getting to work. There's no power at the hospital because the electricity power stations have shut down.... no fuel !
Next to go are the phones, internet, ATMs, banks, and because your pay is done electronically, there's no money for you.
So.... for those of you who say.... no fuel, no worries....
then you are in for a rude awakening !
