Are they normally noisy? In what way are they noisy? Are you on friendly terms with them?

Maybe it is just the time of the year. I have found the easiest way to let the neighbours know what I require is to talk to them. Amazing what cooperation you can get, once you have gotten to know them.

Almost every night during the festive season there are parties. Loud music. They have a pool the noise of kids is unbelievable. We are treating it as a holiday thing so we are putting up with it. We are not on friendly terms apart from the nod etc.
I am treading very cautiously as the seem to be rather ferral.
The kids are yelling abusive remarks at us. The dog never stops barking. We are going nuts.
This is a very serious post and causing us depression. It was basically ok . Bought house in July and it was generally ok. Neighbours behind say these people dont care.
Thankyou very much folks.

Abandon all attempts until you've made friends with them. It's amazing how human ferrals can be! :character-oldtimer:

If kids are having fun in the family pool, they are not out roaming the streets causing mischief.

There is no indication, yet, that you have even spoken to your neighbours Mavis. Do you know their names? That would be a start.
