Out of a population of 24 million not bad, so how many
worked and paid taxes thus contributing towards society.

The age pension is in many ways supported in part by
superannuation topped up by a government to facilitate
a living wage so it's not just a question of numbers without
examination.

But the point is those 2 million people have retired.
The thrust of the video was that everyone will work til they drop.
Clearly that is not happening.
The presenter from 60 minutes would be getting at least $100,000 per year to do bugger all.
no wonder he is still working.
Some people keep going because they love what they do. Fair enough.
The majority i'd say really look forward to retirement from some deadbeat job they travel two hours a day to get to.

This work till you drop is another myth if you are
worried about the costs (a liberal fixation) then
what are the costs associated with refugee intakes,
Manus island etc which is now costing in the billions
but hey no worries we can knock of the age pensioners
excuse my cynicism but honestly, it's a joke old chap. :icon-mrgreen: :icon-mrgreen:

Honesty and truth are anathema to politicians.
