Bernie Sanders was my pick last time and will be this time, followed by Elizabeth Warren. Sanders would take the fight to Trump and have the younger voters behind him. His weakness in the past is that he couldn't energise the black and ethnic voters. Maybe this time he'll have learnt from that. His biggest obstacle will be his party's conservative hierarchy.

One of the key factors detracting from Sanders' chances is simply his age. Were he to win and a second term, many question his ability to meet the challenges of the post.

He's my age and I'm pretty fit, not that I aspire to any position of responsibility.

Reagan was supposedly showing early signs of dementia towards the end of his Presidency, is that a warning that voters can afford to ignore?

It's a risk, I agree, so his choice of VP would have to be of similar mind. Maybe Warren.

Given the current climate of world politics and upheaval, I doubt that even the reddest of red-neck voters in the U.S. would want anything but the very best candidate for the Presidency, but then again, I am the perennial optimist. Trump will probably get in again and send us all to hell.

Trump is still popular with a large segment of the population, and now he has the spectacle of his visit to the Palace to brag about. However, I never saw a picture of her Maj smiling at him at all.
