This isn't science so much as philosophy. Are we the product of the universe or is is the universe the product of ourselves? Who knows? How do we find out? Nobody knows.

Thank you Dukey. I watched the elementary video, which I'm sure clarified the scientific aspect of it for anyone but me. I am now just as much bamboozled. That video led me on to another, about a 1927 discovered physics theory. A little (very little) easier to understand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQKELOE9eY4. You'd think after nearly 100 years we could understand this! :hitting_wall

Dreams, i try to simplify things even though it not simple
however looking at it this way, everything is an atomic cough cough,
everything vibrates, and all arrives from one source which is beyond
our imagination and everything is connected.
Conscience is our individual identity in a sea of individuality, cough. 8-[ 8-[ 8-[

Dukey, if that was really what you wanted to say, mate, I am more confused than I was before.
Agree with Buck, the Moonshine has been overcooked!

The vibrations he felt were from the earthquake off the coast of Mexico.

Am I forever to be the voice crying in the wilderness,
am I the only one who dares to think cough cough.
Example, whilst waiting to see the vascular surgeon
a young couple entered the room and sat down, he pulled out
his smart phone and from then on never looked up, she bored
out of her bra sat there with her arms across her chest, the moral
of the story, people have ceased to communicate or think in my view.

Hello hello anyone out there. 8-[ 8-[ 8-[ 8-[ :heeheehee :heeheehee

I am a great fan of science, while acknowledging my own scientific ignorance. And I find philosophy rather gobbledygook. Yet I can't help feeling they are not in opposition, but linked. Many one time miracles were just normal physics, unknown at that time, and surely there is still so much undiscovered we would be foolish to scoff because of lack of proof.

So I am not anti 'New Age' thought, but I have to say many such thinkers are as one eyed bigots as you will find in any religious sect. Let's be a bit open minded!

An open mind allows anything to be accepted. Far better to be sceptical, which isn't a negative attitude but one that seeks evidence before acceptance, and even then does so on a pro tem basis, ready to be dislodged when new evidence comes to light.

Ah but, there must an open mind in the first instance
to become a skeptic would you not agree, Holmes old chap.
For how does one think outside the box of a closed mind,
Be wary for old age itself leads to skepticism. :character-oldtimer:

I would say an open mind allows anything to be considered. Acceptance could come only with proof?

OK. Sceptics have open minds. I can go along with that!
