A video ofa prototype car which has sliding doors - they slide down and under the car, right out of sight!
I dream, therefore I am.

It looks like a great idea but it has been around for quite a while. As far as I know, it hasn't been a success or put into any mass production .... maybe it's because of the loss of torsional rigidity. Imagine how much strengthening (extra weight) would need to go into the roof to provide "normal" body strength.

I wonder if the Mercedes "Gullwing" had problems?

Any engineers out there?
The last interglacial had less ice, higher sea levels, and warmer temperatures than this one. So, according to the evidence so far, human activity must have a COOLING effect.

You know it did. Just look where the doors are mounted. Metal fatigue waiting to happen.

DW, thanks for posting. It looks very interesting but think it would be expensive for a Mini Minor!

The devil whispered, “You cannot withstand the storm“ and I replied: “I am the storm!”.....Unknown.
