Re: Doc Martin
Yes Buck, I am a fan, and I am aware of the new series thank you.
I think he's a wonderfully funny character. Who ever heard of a doctor, who throws up at the sight of blood???
He's so RUDE to people, it's funny. Then you think "Why did I laugh at him being rude.???
I think you laugh because it's so unexpected from a Dr.
All the best.

Re: Doc Martin
I'm impressed by the medical accuracy of the show, - they don't just make it up as they go along.
The doc character is supposed to have Asperger syndrome, but it is not mentioned at all.
which is supposed to account for his poor social skills.

Warrigal, like you I also laughed at Black Adder. I thought he was hilarious.
Seems like we both have the same sense of humour.

Gregory House was another very rude doctor but he wasn't funny.

Re: Doc Martin
I like the grumpy old Doc and there are some good regular characters too. Humour without effing and blinding is something you don’t find too often these days. I’m a sucker for some English countryside as well !
Blackadder had the saddest ending to a comedy series ever. I had a tear......

The new series started last week here in the UK. Episode 2 is on tonight.
Agree with you, Lynny. Good to watch humour without the effing and blinding.

Re: Doc Martin
Well, I just watched the first of the new series of Doc M. I watched to the end just to see if it could possibly get any better. Maybe next week it might improve but at the moment I feel like they just shouldn't have bothered.

Re: Doc Martin
Tough Critique.
I didn't think it was too bad.
Possibly tried to pack a little too much into one episode.

Re: Doc Martin
I was a bit harsh I suppose.
I got sick with the flu recently and watched some of series 7 on ABC in the afternoons. This last nights episode was uncomfortabley awkward at times IMHO. Disappointed.....
Fingers crossed for next week.
