I now pronounce you

When one gets married does it mean you both MUST vote for the same political party?
While we have never voted Liberal there have been times I voted Socialist left and she voted ALP.
My dad voted Liberal but mum voted ALP.
WONDERING do you vote Liberal or Labor etc just because your spouse does?

My wife probably voted Greens because I do, but with a daughter who looks to be in line for a Greens senator position, she would do anyway now.

Nope. I vote according to my own lights. Hubby is free to make his own decisions too.
No recriminations and thank God for the secret ballot.
If you don't have an ASIO file by now then you should be ashamed of yourself.

We both respect the others right to vote as we see fit!
Having said that, we mostly agree on things political, so I think we would both vote the same.
I know that neither of us are impressed with the current Government.

I can't remember ever having made a pact with a spouse or partner regarding our Federal voting habits.

Must admit that whilst living in S.A. many years ago we did discuss one or two State elections prior voting but never agreed to follow each others suggestions at the ballot box!
