Post by mavisbramston » 14 May 2018, 13:02

OK I get you lol.
OK OK OK already ...
I know most of you probably HATE Eurovision.
But there must be someone SURELY in Silver land that loves it.
I know its camper than a row of tents but hell I dont care .... I love it.
Crikey I still love ABBA!!!!
Anyway I loved Ireland but I can never predict who will win.
Even though Ireland hardly got past the post I loved them. =D= =D=

I disagree. The score reflects the poor performance.
The start of her act was totally bogus and fake.
And she is too fat. sorry, but true.

Sounds like you both watched it then.
I didn't but it cannot be avoided if you watch SBS news at all.

But they call it a 'song' contest and I haven't heard one song yet. It's all just overproduced electronic pop and way too much dancing and special effects. Still that's popular music.

I never got past the 80s. The last time a 'song' was ever written.

I must agree with Lynny I'm afraid.
I am tired of BAD singing, and big light shows, and half naked females.in the so called POP world.
Compared with the 40s 50s and 60s they are rather boring.

I avoid Eurovision almost as much as another event, just as gaudy. I was absolutely amazed to see,on the news, that the chicken-dance won this year.

Sorry Mavis "No can do!"
As a former singer, I come from the classic mode. The Euro vision is way down on my priority list.
If you enjoy it, good luck to you.
I always wish you and your family all the best.

HAVE FUN! :happy-sunshine:

Slapsy is right. Israel. Really?
Are the europeans different from the rest of the planet or are they just 'taking the piss' when they place their vote?

The voting is largely political.
