That map looks dodgy, - if correct the average joe in australia could not get netflix, - it requires 25 mb/sec dunnit?

It's an average, but Joe should be able to watch Netflix at 8Mgbs, perhaps with occasional buffering.

has anyone noticed an increase in speed of the interwebs?
i'm using Telstra 4G wireless, not the NBN, and the speed has gone from around 20mb/sec to over 100mb/sec.

That's impressive. I have no explanation but guess there's been a significant improvement in the network infrastructure.
